Bag Tag Tourney 10/28
The Moraga Disc Golf Club will be holding a "Bag-Tag" tournament on October 28, at 10 A.M. to raise funds for future club projects (think more new tee boxes and benches).

The entry fee is $20.00 and all participants will receive an "official" Moraga Disc Golf bag tag. Come out and compete for the honor of holding the #1 tag at Moraga! Sign-ups will take place between 9:30-10:00 AM, with the first group going out soon there after. This is an non-handicapped 18 hole event (similar the weekly) and the finishing order will determine the exact bag tag each person receives after the round.

These tags are a sign of membership in the Moraga Disc Golf Club and bragging rights around the course - Don't miss your chance to be there from the beginning!

Please spread the word and I hope to see all of you out at the course on Saturday 10/28!

For any questions, please contact Scott Fuller at (415) 420-5425 or via email.

New Moraga Course Logo
I have been working for awhile now on coming up with a logo for the Moraga Disc Golf Club, and together with a graphic artist here is the result. It will appear in a number of places, including soon to be made bag-tags as well as other fund raiser items. Special thanks to Audrey Karleskind for all her hard work in bring this idea to life!

Last Weekly results (week 23)
The last 2006 weekly tournaments was played this cool fall evening, and we had a wonderful turnout with 25 players, and 24 contributing to the pools. Play got started as early as possible, ~4:30 P.M. and was completed in darkness at around 7:20 P.M.

Greywing "Sorry I'm late" Cooper took first place with a nice -4 round (net 49.78) and it was about time! The "legend" Ron Junker returned from his world tour just in time to finish second, shooting 5 under (net 51.22) and just beating out Mike "Big Guns" Castillo who shot 4 down (net 51.23). That has to be the closest tow people have come to tying all year! Chika "Forehand Master" Nii finished fourth with a even par 54 (net 52.11).

This week's pay-out was $32.00 for 1st, $22.00 for 2nd, $13.00 for 3rd place and $5.00 for 4th.

I want to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE for coming out each week and making these events possible and so much fun - THANK YOU!! These events have exceeded my expectations and it has been my pleasure to hold them each week. I plan on starting them again in early 2007, as soon as there are enough daylight hours to play... look to the web site for more details. I hope to you all again next year!

Have a wonderful rest of the 2006, and I look forward to playing with most of you out at the course this winter!!

Sincerely,
Scott Fuller
