First "Weekly" a overwhelming success
Moraga disc golf course held its first Weekly handicapped tournament yesterday, and with over 22 players attending (and 17 contributing to the pools) it exceeded expectations and was a great success. Play got started at 5:20 P.M. and was completed by the last group at 7:45 P.M.

Ron Junker "the legend" was the inaugural winner and shot a nice -7 round and received the first place prize of $25.00. Mike Castillo and Patrick Knight tied for second place (with a score of -3) and each received $11.50. A complete listing of all players and scores will be listed on the site soon, but in the mean time you can go here to see the final results (the link is to a disc golf stats page where you can log in and/or create a profile to keep track of your own scores and/or see this tournament results).

Thanks to everyone who attended for making this event such a success! We look forward to seeing everyone again in the weeks ahead... and if for some reason you missed this weeks tournament, we hope to see you next week.

Weekly tournaments start next Tuesday (4/25)
Moraga will have a weekly tournament (similar to Berkeley's) every Tuesday evening, starting at 5pm April 25th. The fee will be $5, with $1 going to an Ace pool, $1 going to club activities (and future course improvements) and $3 towards the weekly pay-out. The first 2 weeks will be free to establish a player handicap to be used for future weeklies, although there will be an option to pay and play for best scores w/o a handicap in place. We hope to see you all out there in the weeks and months ahead - spread the word.
