The 9th Moraga Weekly Tournament was played on a cool and somewhat windy evening, and we continued to have a very nice turnout of 17 players (all contributing to the pools). Play got started a little late at 5:15 P.M. and was completed by 8:30 P.M.

Week 9 Results

Last week saw our first woman player cash, and this week a woman did even better with Karen "original woman's division" Miller tying for 1st place with Life Gibson - each had a net score of 52.8 - Way to go Karen and Life!! Karen shot a 69 and Life a 56, but with their respective handicaps they had identical scores. I can only hope this spurs more woman to come out and kick the guys butts!!

Big throwing Jesse Wisecarver took third with a 56 (net 53.73) and Geo "#1 Handicap" Ross was 4th with ONLY a 3 down (net 54.07), nice shooting guys!

This week's pay-out was $25.50 for 1st, $12.00 for 3rd and $5.00 for 4th place. Thanks to everyone for making our weekly such a fun event!

The 8th Moraga Weekly Tournament was played on a gorgeous summer evening, which brought out a field of 18 players (all contributing to the pools). Play got started on time at 5:00 P.M. and was completed by 8:30 P.M.

Week 8 Results

Matt Barclay came in first place for the second time this summer with a nice even par round of 54 (net 48.9) - Congratulations Matt! Second went to Geo "the pro" Ross, the man with the lowest handicap - which goes to show how well he shot to finish in second, with a 7 down round of 47 (net 49.56)!

Gulya Barclay came in third with a round of 70 (net 50.8) to become the first woman to cash in our weekly - Way to go Gulya!!

Greywing "sorry I'm late" Cooper took 4th with a nice 3 down 51 (net 52.33).

This week's pay-out was $32.00, $22.00, $13.00 and $5.00 for 4th place. Thanks to everyone for making our weekly such a fun event!

The 7th Moraga Weekly Tournament was held on a hot summer evening, which may have accounted for the small turnout (15 players - 13 contributing to the pools). Gregg returned as TD, and play got started on time at 5:00 P.M. and was completed rather late as approximately 8:40 P.M. Hopefully we will see a larger turnout next week as the summer progresses.

Week 7 Results

Brant "Mr. Money" Willis continued his scorching hot play and won again this week with a 51 (net 50.33). Josh Yocum played another stellar round and came in 2nd place with a nice 1 down 53 (net 51.08) and just beat out Jesse "Big Arm" Wisecarver for 3rd with a par 54 (net 51.28) - good shooting guys.

The 6th Moraga Weekly Tournament was held on a windy and cool evening, but it didn't keep people from coming out to try and claim the growing Ace pool and participate (with 23 players & 21 contributing to the pools). Play got started on time at 4:40 P.M. and was completed by 8:00 P.M. Scott F. and Brant W. filled in or Gregg again this week, but Gregg was able to make it out to play at least - welcome back Gregg!!

Week 6 Results

James Benner came in first place by shooting a very respectable round of 62 (net 51) given the tough windy conditions. Second went to Life Gibson with a 56 (net 52) and there was a tie for third as both Jesse "big arm" Wisecarver and Rob Nelson carded (net 53's) - congrats guys. Josh Yocum came in 5th place with another 56 (net 54). Handicaps are becoming more of a factor into the winning order - especially with so many people shooting such similar scores.
